The Chestnut Hall is located on the second floor of a brand-new building on vibrant Chestnut Street in historic downtown McKinney, Texas. Its position above the street gives every event an elevated sense of occasion — quite literally.

What was once a dilapidated wood structure deemed uninhabitable has been transformed by owners Ben and Alycia into a beautiful modern building featuring a stunning 3,000-square-foot event space and McKinney's first-ever upstairs patio.

The result is a venue that feels both fresh and rooted — contemporary in its design, yet completely at home among the beloved brick storefronts and historic charm that make downtown McKinney so special.

The Beginning
A Dilapidated Structure

The site on Chestnut Street had long sat as a deteriorating wood structure, deemed uninhabitable and passed over — a gap in the heart of an otherwise thriving downtown block.

The Vision
Ben & Alycia See Something Different

Where others saw an eyesore, Ben and Alycia saw potential. They envisioned a modern building that honored the historic character of McKinney while bringing something entirely new — an elevated, second-story event space unlike anything downtown had seen.

The Build
A Brand New Building Rises

Constructed from the ground up, the new building on Chestnut Street was designed with elegance and function in mind — premium finishes, a full prep kitchen, dual restrooms, elevator access, and most notably, the first upstairs patio in all of downtown McKinney.
